Kurukshetra is the land famous for its historical and spiritual significance. The epic "MAHABHARATA" and "PRECEPT OF GITA" given by "LORD KRISHNA" are related to this place. Kurukshetra University was established in this city in 1956. It is now a multi-faculty university offering various courses in Science, Engineering, Arts, Languages and Humanities.
