- As the major field, worked on semiconductor
devices and related projects. Starting in 1985, worked with
amorphous semiconductors and microwave characterization of the
same. Later worked on Si and related Semiconductors.
- Recently, research work has been initiated
in the field of Metrices for Measurements on Computer Software
to develop the models for measurements on Computer Software.
- Research is also being done on computer
aided electronic design for implementation of an IC, by use
of computer based software like SPICE & ALLIANCE.
- During a visit to Engineering Department,
Cambridge University, UK, in 1998-99 worked on various
problems related to t-aC and a-Si:H based solar cells
and developed a new type of Solar cell based on t-aC and a-Si:H
heterojunction.
- Worked and supervised students for VHDL based
chip designs through use of ALLIANCE software on Linux. Based
on this work, a paper was presented in VLSI test design workshop
in IIT Delhi in 1998.
- After initiation in the computer related
field in 1985 and subsequent formal training through two diplomas,
all further experience was gained through self studies, self
experience and through news postings. Worked extensively with
wide variety of application software like dBase, 1-2-3, AutoCad,
PSpice, Electronic Workbench, Ventura, MS Office etc.
- Programming in: C,
Pascal & some Delphi, Database (dbase, FoxPro), Fortran,
Basic. For wide range of applications in business to scientific.
- Setting up of Operating systems like Linux,
Windows 95, 98, NT Setting up of application Software, X servers
etc under the above operating systems.
